For the longest time I was very confused as to how these things became associated on a single holiday. Now, as my interest in many religions is growing, I felt I needed to know the answer. I planned to do a ton of research and find a connection, but my time was limited and I shoved the research off. I awoke Sunday morning feeling rather empty as I had not answered my question. I got ready and headed over to the Curry compound and there is where I found my answer.
Who provided the answer you ask? Who else but the Catholic church. Bear with me here, as I merely skimmed what appeared to be a printed off E-mail containing half truths and bull shit. According to the priest who decided to write this down. The "easter bunny" is no bunny at all.
"What the hell!" I exclaimed. I was raised in a home of strong morals and colored egg laying rabbits. I continued half reading, while watching the masters. According to the in depth research of this priest the easter bunny is in fact a hare. I decided that this was not helping my need to know at all. I mean seriously, rabbit, hare its all the same.
So I skipped the first paragraphs and moved on. And that is where I found the connection. Apparently before Christs time Egyptians used to exchange dyed and decorated eggs as a gift of peace. During the new moons. Then Tiger Woods shattered an Iron around an Elm tree. Eggs are often used to represent new life and all that jazz.
So ancient believers of ressurection took the habit of exchanging eggs as saying "may the new life begin".
And that is how Easter Eggs mean Jesus.

sort of. Im not sure many people care though. I was put into the image that the Easter Bunny was a Recruiter for the Jesus Army.
I mean, who doesn't want to be friends with a guy who knows a rabbit that shits chocolate and colored eggs in your house?
